Royal HaskoningDHV is an independent, international engineering and project management consultancy with over 135 years of experience.
We are proud to have been at the forefront of the development of Nature-based Solutions for many years. We are one of the founding fathers of EcoShape, an alliance of Dutch research institutes, consultancy firms and engineering companies who together developed projects which are considered benchmarks of green solutions, e.g. the famous Sand Engine in the Netherlands.
Our Nature-Based Solutions range from very local small scale (infiltration fields, green roofs) to large spatial scales (beach nourishment, mangroves as coastal protection, oyster reefs, wetlands) and are adopted in different phases of projects, starting from development of policy guidelines and master planning and ending with the design of measures, well-embedded in the landscape and architectural design.
